WyseDSP Bass is modelled on the SVT — the Ampeg all-valve bass amplifier that defined the sound of recorded bass for decades. The pre-amp section covers the full range of bass processing needs: compression, octave doubling, an envelope filter for funk and auto-wah tones, and overdrive for grit and grind.
The SVT amplifier section gives you the full tonal range: Pad switch for high-output basses, Bright for pick-style attack, Ultra Lo and Ultra Hi for extended frequency shaping, and a crossover frequency selector. Full Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, and Master controls round out the amp.
Threshold, ratio, attack, and release. Keeps the low end controlled under the SVT's natural dynamics.
Adds a sub-octave beneath your bass signal. Oct level and dry blend for anything from subtle thickening to full sub-bass doubling.
Touch-sensitive filter with Up/Down direction switch, sensitivity, frequency, and depth — classic funk and auto-wah tones.
Drive, blend, and tone. Blends the driven signal with the clean signal so you keep the low-end punch underneath the grit.
Pad, Bright, Ultra Lo, Ultra Hi switches. Crossover frequency selector (800 Hz default). Full Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, Master EQ.
8×10 Sealed (the classic SVT cabinet), 4×10, and 1×15. Load custom IR files for any cabinet response.
HPF and LPF on the output stage, plus DI blend — mix the processed and direct signal for studio-quality bass recording.
Full post-amp effects chain. Chorus with rate, depth, and mix. Delay with time, feedback, and mix. Reverb with size, damp, and mix.
