// 04 / Drum Machine
LinnDrum-inspired drum machine with 17 proprietary 24-bit samples, a 16-step sequencer with swing, per-pad processing, and a full dynamics section.
// the kit
Every sample in WyseDSP Drummer was derived and processed from source material — not borrowed from existing sample packs. The 17 sounds (Bass, Snare, Rimshot, Hi-Hat Closed, Hi-Hat Open, Crash, Ride, Hi Tom, Mid Tom, Lo Tom, Cabasa, Tamb, Hi Conga, Lo Conga, Cowbell, Clap) were shaped using pitch shifting, EQ, transient shaping, and saturation to produce a drum machine character rather than a drum kit imitation.
Individual volume fader and level knob for each of the 17 drum sounds. Plus a drum pad section for real-time triggering.
Independent tuning knobs for all 17 sounds. Shift pitches to fit any track without resampling.
Step sequencer with variable step count (1–16), BPM, swing amount, and Save/Load sequence functionality.
Attack and sustain shaping on the selected pad — adjust the transient and tail independently for each sound.
Global LPF/HPF with cutoff and resonance — run the whole kit through the filter for lo-fi or telephone effects.
Master volume, drive, thrash (transient shaper), and ratio (compressor) across the entire mix output.
